Privacy policy

Last updated: October 29, 2026

Hi! We're Francesca and Daniel, and this is our recipe site. We treat your privacy the way we treat our recipes: few things, done well. Here's a plain explanation of what data may be collected, why, and what your rights are.

1. Who we are (data controllers)

Healthy & Delicious is a project by Daniel Reguera and Francesca Merola, who are the controllers of the data collected on this site.

Address: Viale dei Platani 20, 26900 Lodi (LO), Italy
Email: info@healthyandelicious.com

We're based in Italy, so this site follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For any privacy question, email us at the address above.

2. What data may be collected and why

Browsing the site
Technical data our hosting provider may log (for example IP address, browser type, pages requested), to run the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6.1.f).

Essential cookies
Your cookie choice, to remember your preferences. They're needed for the site to work, so no consent is required.

Statistics (Google Analytics 4 and Hostinger platform statistics)
Usage data (pages viewed, device type, where you came from), to see which recipes are most useful and improve the site. Legal basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner (art. 6.1.a).

YouTube videos
Data collected by YouTube (Google) when you watch an embedded video, to show you the recipe videos. Legal basis: your consent, where required. YouTube handles this data under its own privacy policy.

Recipe ratings
The number of stars and a random code (it doesn't contain your name), saved in your browser only when you rate, to work out the average rating and allow one rating per recipe. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f).

Comments
The name you type, your comment, the date and the page, to publish your comment after we've read it, and to reply. Legal basis: your consent, given by sending the comment (art. 6.1.a).

Emails you send us
Your address and your message, to reply to you. Legal basis: your request (art. 6.1.b).

About comments: we only publish the name you choose and your text; we don't ask for your email. A first name or a nickname is fine. Please don't include personal details in comments that you don't want made public. We read every comment before it goes live, and we may not publish comments that are offensive or off-topic.

We don't sell your data, and we don't show ads on this site.

3. Who we share data with

To run the site we use a few outside services. They handle data on our behalf, or as independent controllers, under their own privacy policies:

  • Hostinger, our hosting provider: the website, the cookie banner and platform statistics.

  • Google: Google Analytics 4 (statistics), YouTube (videos) and Google Sheets (where we store ratings and comments).

  • Instagram and TikTok: only if you click the links to our profiles.

4. Transfers outside the European Union

Some of these services, Google in particular, may process data outside the European Union, for example in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer relies on the safeguards set out in the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

5. How long we keep data

  • Google Analytics statistics: 14 months.

  • Ratings: for as long as the recipe is online.

  • Comments: for as long as the recipe is online, or until you ask us to delete them.

  • Emails: as long as needed to reply to you.

  • Hosting logs: for the periods set by Hostinger.

6. Cookies and data saved in your browser

On your first visit, a banner asks which cookies you accept. The categories are:

  • Strictly necessary: always on.

  • Platform analytics: Hostinger's statistics.

  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4.

  • Marketing: cookies from outside services such as YouTube.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing cookies in your browser; the banner will ask again on your next visit.

When you rate a recipe, the site saves a random code and your rating in your browser (localStorage), only to remember your rating. It isn't used for advertising, and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR (articles 15–22), you can ask us at any time to:

  • see the data we hold about you;

  • correct it;

  • delete it, for example one of your comments;

  • restrict how it's used;

  • receive it in a readable format;

  • object to its use.

You can also withdraw your consent whenever you like; this doesn't affect anything done before. Just email info@healthyandelicious.com, and we'll reply within 30 days.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or the one in the country where you live.

8. Children

This site isn't aimed at children under 14. Children under 14 shouldn't leave comments. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, email us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes

We may update this page, for example when we launch our newsletter. The date at the top shows the latest change.
